Give Plastic a Charming New Look

Polystyrene, or #6 plastic, is a synthetic material used in many consumer products. This plastic can be found in its expanded form-Styrofoam, and common items like rigid plastic utensils. It is also found in the lids of takeout containers and is the key to this crafting activity.

Using items around the house, you can decorate this plastic and end up with adorable charms. Watch Amanda as she shows us how!

If you try this out at home, share your charms with us by tagging @RyeNatureCenter on Facebook or Instagram!
